WE ARE HERE TO MAKE AN IMPACT
We are a diverse team of volunteer professionals, united in our passion to support vulnerable communities around the world.
George is the founder and director of Grassroots Collective. After completing his Masters of International Development Practice, he quit his job as a paramedic in Australia to explore Latin America by motorcycle. Driven by a shared passion for community development and adventure, Grassroots Collective has remedied both his insatiable curiosity, as well as a desire to support developing communities.
George visits all our local partners in person; hearing stories, taking photos, making videos, and employing our growing library of learning resources to help foster local capacity. He also manages our Grassroots Hub, coordinating a diverse team of volunteer professionals and development practitioners to create learning resources that are directly accountable to the real needs of local organisations.
Sean & Citizen by Design
Sean has breathed fresh air into our brand and identity, designing our logo, planning our website and creating the beautiful layouts for our development handbooks. He is a talented Melbourne-based graphic designer with an eye for captivating visuals and considered design. When he's not donating his time to the Grassroots Collective, he can be found exploring South East Australia in his ageing Toyota Hiace.
HWL Ebsworth Legal
In 2017 we were lucky enough to receive the support of Tresscox legal firm who later merged with HWL Ebsworth as our pro-bono legal support. We are incredibly excited to have them on-board, guiding us through the nitty gritty of legal accountability. Their team has been amazing to work with and we hope we don’t cause them too many headaches...
Ollie, Tom and Rachel
Whilst we are not a registered organisation, we think it's important to have the same levels of transparency and accountability in place. Ollie, Tom and Rachel are our team of faux-directors, keeping the team on track and drawing upon their wealth of experience to provide advice and guidance to help Grassroots Collective maximise its impact.
We collaborate with a diverse team of experienced professionals to create learning resources that reflect best practice.
